What to Do When the Light Comes On

1. Check your tire pressures immediately​ using a reliable gauge (don't just look at the tires; they can be 10+ PSI low and still look fine).
   
2. Inflate all tires to the pressure listed on the vehicle's placard​ (found on the driver's door jamb or in the owner's manual, not​ the number on the tire sidewall).
   
3. If the light doesn't turn off​ after driving for a few minutes, you may need to manually reset the system (consult your owner's manual).
   
4. If the light flashes, it’s a system error, and you should have it diagnosed by a tire shop or mechanic.

  Steady Light:​ One or more tires are significantly under-inflated. You should check and adjust pressures as soon as it's safe to do so.
  Flashing Light (for 60-90 seconds upon startup):​ Usually indicates a fault in the TPMS itself, such as a failed sensor, a system malfunction, or a problem with the receiver. It means the system cannot reliably monitor your tire pressure.
